On behalf of the Board of Directors at Marin Economic Forum (MEF), this letter is my personal recommendation for Alana Capozzi. The Board expresses their heartfelt gratitude for all the work she performed from 2011-2016; her continual and unwavering dedication has been the glue that kept the organization on an even keel.
We found Alana to be consistently pleasant, tackling all assignments with dedication and a smile. Her interpersonal skills were exemplary and appreciated by everyone who worked with her. She provided support as a great team member and liaison with staff and the Board of Directors. She works well in a dynamic environment; in addition to having 40 board members to support and consider on a regular basis. One of her strengths is the ability to problem solve and go the extra mile when needed. She recognizes that in a non-profit organization, there is a need for embracing an all-hands philosophy in the workplace; she is always willing to go above and beyond to help a fellow team member, in order to get the job done. We appreciated her strong commitment to expand MEF's reach in the community and staying true to the mission of the organization.
During her tenure, Alana worked closely with the CEO on Strategic Planning, Internal/External Relations; Programs; and Fund Development. her direct responsibilities included but were not limited to: Administration; Board of Director's Liaison; Marketing, Promotion, Branding development; and Management/Coordination of Sinature events. Some of her major accomplishments include:
-
Working with CEO and Corporate Attorney on Obtaining 501 (c) 3 status,
-
Development of MEF Employee and Board Manuals,
-
Website design, coordination and development,
-
MEF Logo design
-
Fiscally Sponsored program development,
-
Expansion of external relations and community connections,
-
Branding, Fundraising, Logo Design and Expansion of annual Marinnovation Entrepreneurial showcase event
I highly recommend Alana for employment. She is a team player and would make a great asset to any organization.
Sincerely,
Haden Ongaro

Alana Capozzi is a former colleague of mine at marin Economic Forum. Alana and I worked for over four years as Director of Administration & Communications, and CEO respectively. Alana and I were the organization for those years. In that time, Alana's job duties grew from simple administrative tasks to becoming more of a complete partner in the operations with me. In a two-person operation, it is difficult to be hierarchal; Alana and I established a working relationship quickly and became more efficient as the organization evolved.
Alana's tasks grew to be more like a Chief Operating Officer, though she never had that title. She began to attend public meetings on behalf of the organization, deal with our events coordination, billing, front office management, board relations, and many other tasks as needed. I was the only employee of the organization when it started, so Alana was a welcome addition and hard-working, focused worker as well.
Alana is a team player, wants to get the job done, and is very concerned about the organization remaining upright and moving forward. She is a quick learner and worker, and has varied experience from which she drew in the time we worked together. She has a background in design; an Executive Director of a non-profit, and is a lifelong resident of Marin County, CA. She provided a professional and personal take to many of the issues Marin Economic Forum faced, which helped me understand topics better on a daily basis.
Alana Capozzi is a dedicated worker and someone who immediately jumps in trying to help the organization. She is selfless and worked seven days a week as needed when working for me. I recommend Alana for any job for which she applies, strongly.
Sincerely,
Robert Eyler, Ph.D.

I have served on the Board of Directors at Marin Economic Forum (MEF) since 2010 through to the present. During that time, Alana served as the Director of Administration and Communications.
Alana was my liaison on a non-profit project with MEF as the fiscal sponosor. She is smart. She's answered communications quickly, was informed and dedicated. She's upbeat, has out-of-the-box creative suggestions, and is well organized. She knew the ins and outs of how things worked. And if she didn't, she'd find out. I felt I had a true partner on my project.
When we met as the nominating committee, she could list off each candidate's strengths. She listened to suggestions and always acted on comments that required research.
However, I suppose one of the most wonderful things about working with Alana, is her enthusiasm. While at MEF, she was wholly involved and cared. She worked hard to push the organization to flourish. She makes working on a project together fun. Alana would be spectacular in anything she chooses to throw herself into and any place would be lucky to have her on staff.

"I would like to speak to a number of strengths that Alana possesses which enables her to manage people, groups and organizations so successfully:
-
Strong ability to listen, absorb information and act in a manner that is very professional and courteous. She has great morals, values and ethics that always play a major role in the decision-making process.
-
Cogent management skills are very sharp, she is able to juggle many jobs while meeting deadlines and providing a stable work environment for the staff; she is very organized and efficient which is what is needed when dealing with the overall well-being of an organization.
-
Solving problems is one of her biggest assets. It takes a special temperament to deal with ongoing issues within an organization and then be able to provide solutions in a professional manner.
All organizations must have a great leader in order tor it to function properly, one that possesses the traits mentioned above and is respected by their peers. Alana maintained the utmost respect for her ability to lead while President of Central Marin Competitive Soccer and Marin FC Executive Board".

"I was referred to Alana by a friend, to whom I am eternally grateful, as she changed my life. Before Alana's intervention, my life was a mess. I could never find anything, I was always running late, and embarassed about the state of my home and office; basically, I was a disaster. It was exhausting just trying to keep up and maintain apperances; I was very unhappy, but Alana changed all that. She came with systems for time management, filing, paper flow, housekeeping tips and just basic no nonsense motivationall tools to keep me on-track. I can now honestly say, that I am happy again. Gone is the clutter and shame of a life gone out of control, I couldn't recommend her more highly".
